O casal Flávia e Diogo, após um ano de namoro, decidiu morar junto. Diogo viajava 2h de Vargem Grande para São Paulo. Buscaram um lar na Vila Madalena, bairro de Flávia, mas os preços eram altos. Como parte da classe média, comprar estava fora de questão.

Após muita procura, encontraram um apartamento de 57m² com dois quartos na Vila Romana, próximo à Vila Madalena. A história de Flávia e Diogo ilustra o grande desafio que a classe média vive atualmente para encontrar um imóvel, tanto para aluguel como para venda.

Sempre é necessário abrir mão de algo, seja localização, metragem, número de cômodos ou comodidades do condomínio, como vaga, piscina e academia. Mas, claro, se pagar mais, tudo é possível.

Em números, o rendimento médio mensal, segundo a Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios Contínua (Pnad Contínua) em setembro de 2012 era de R$ 2.908, enquanto o metro quadrado para venda, segundo o Índice FipeZap, custava R$ 5.665.
